The city of Harrington is located in Kent County, Delaware. Formerly known as Clark’s Corner, it was renamed in 1859 in honor of Judge Samuel M. Harrington. It has a population of 3,174 as of the 2000 census.
Harrington is perhaps best known as the staging area for the Delaware State Fair, held in July every year. It is also the location of the Harrington Raceway, one of the best harness racing attractions in the state. The city is home to a number of historical museums, which includes the Harrington Museum, the Harrington Railroad Museum and the Messick Agricultural Museum.
